A to Z April Challenge
Hoping to Cross the Finish Line
I have thrown my hat – not really, I am keeping my Trusty Texas Tiara – into the #AtoZChallenge. Why would I, a non-writer, do this? Actually there are many different kinds of bloggers that have signed up for the blog challenge, photo blogs for example, that are not so-called writers. In my case however, I am an admitted “Grammar Vandal”. As my husband says I commit grammar misdemeanors and felonies on a regular basis. He would know as he is also the one that edits almost every post. No, I am not joining the challenge to make his head explode (I love you Warrior, I promise to try to write more gooder...even better).
I guess the main reason, out of the many, that I am going to attempt the challenge is because I have accumulated a lot of information from research, trial and error and osmosis. Big thanks to my parents who would be yapping at talking to me about the technical side of publishing and computers when I really just wanted to bury my nose in a novel. So, as I was saying, I have all this information in my brain that I would like to share with authors, writers and aspiring authors to help them and a nice side benefit would be if I could clear some space in my memory for the things that matter most.
Since I decided to do this, I did what I (try) to do for most of my outlandish brilliant ideas. I got my ever-present planner, notebook and Diet Coke; settled into a comfy place to doodle…scribble…I mean brainstorm on paper. Three days later I emerged from my hidey-hole – dehydrated, shriveled and seriously jonesing for gummy worms and my hubby (not in that order at all!) Okay, I am exaggerating on all those points except one, can you guess which? Anyway, after a few hours I had a rough outline of what I was going to publish and a few posts really fleshed out including “Z”. Most of my absurd posts will deal with publishing, writing or formatting for print and e-publishing. I am after all trying to help authors and writers.
Whew, all that info rattling around in my brain and you will be the lucky recipients. Are you doing a happy dance? I am going to ‘Bust a Blogging Bonanza’ with some ‘Krazy Kamikaze Kontent’!
*A disclaimer – Mark Rice did NOT edit this, all grammar felonies are my own. –DRR

Welcome on board, Deena, and I’m sure you’ll rock the challenge! This challenge is not for writers alone, and we aren’t sticklers for grammar, only that you post each day of April. The more you visit and comment on your co-participants, the more successful you’ll be! Happy to know you via Triberr
Thanks Damyanti. I am psyched…scribbled in my notebook last night got my subjects all picked out and will start writing them soon since I am sure Mark will be turning blue in the face if I just do them all the day they are to be posted. I can tell he’s dreading my vandalism and hoping I am not as wordy as normal.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.
Welcome to the A to Z challenge and thank you for sharing my link (Blogging Basic – You Must Write)! I did a “dry” run of the A to Z challenge back in August and it’s not easy to keep up with all the posts on a daily basis (especially because I am a stay-at-home dad that blogs about parenting for the most part.!) I am planning on giving it my best shot….

You sound like a natural for A to Z. You’re gonna knock it out of the park figuratively speaking. I’ll link to this post here on my A to Z Blog post next Wednesday the 13th.

I hope so Arlee, I have high hopes and a PLAN (not that the plan ever really matters in the long run but I feel better making one to NOT follow).
Yay! Good to have you on board… I just signed up yesterday.
It should be fun although my “editor” isn’t looking forward to my grammar misdemeanors and felonies.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hi, I just popped over from the A_Z main page. Good luck for the challenge. You’re up to a good start, it’s only February and you have a plan! All I have managed so far is signing up!
Aye, I have a plan but still not much else at this point. Will have to knuckle down and work on the rough drafts soon
